Rodents- A public nuisance

Rodents- A public nuisance

Rodents

Rodents are no doubt one of the problems for the households, shopkeepers and stores. The fact is evident from millions of searches done on pest control, natural pest control, mouse control, rodent control and other related keywords through various search engines daily. When we call ‘rodents’, the first thing that comes to mind are the mice. The problem is not lemmatized to damaging foods and other stuff but they also cause various diseases. Mice not only carry germs of certain contagious diseases but also other parasites. This points us to exterminate them before they cause any serious harm to our family.
Mice appear more odious for the reason that they appear atrocious and at the same time the diseases associated with them are more petrifying. Let’s have a look at those diseases that mice pose.
Murine Typhus – This is a common disease caused by flea infected mice. When flea bites a person then the person has fair chances to experience headache, chills, nausea, vomiting, fever and even cough. Ordinary pest control techniques have almost lost their effectiveness.
Rat-Bite fever – People look for different mice control, pest control and rodent control diseases cause of the most horrible thing concerned with rats which is a ‘rat-bite’. Their pointed incisors are sharp just like canines of various carnivores and their saliva contains bacteria. Rat-bite results into fever and Streptobacillus moniliformis is the bacteria that bring this fever. Mouse control is very crucial for this disease as not only the rat bite but also ingestion of contaminated water and food causes this disease.
Eosinophilic Meningitis – Rats carry a very lethal worm in their lungs called ANgiostrongylus Cantonensis. When this worm enters human body through rat bite or ingestion of infected water or food, the Eosinophils (white blood cells of body) cause a brain infection and brings serious nervous breakdowns. Pest exterminators advise natural pest control as most of us have small kids in our homes that are sensitive to chemical pest control solutions.
Salmonella enteric serovar Typhimurium – This is a fatal disease in immunocompromized people including children and elderly. The symptoms include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, vomiting and nausea. This disease also emphasizes on mice control as mice are the major reason for this disease.
Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome – Although not very common but it’s a deadly disease due to an RNA virus. Rodents are one of the major reasons for this disease as their saliva, droppings and urine can carry this virus. So pest control particularly mice control is highly emphasized.
Leptospirosis – This is one of the most common infections in human caused by rats. The symptoms include, high fever, muscle aches, vomiting, severe headache, rash, red eyes, chills, abdominal pain, diarrhea and jaundice.
The above are just few examples of the possible conditions that you may face because of rat infestation. Some of these are extremely severe in nature and need prompt action to be taken otherwise the person’s life may go at risk. The best thing to adopt is to have a proper mouse control strategy. No matter you choose a natural pest control or a modern rodent control technique, this thing is you have to keep your belongings safe from mice. The easiest way is to hire a professional mice extermination service provider.
